Just a reminder that there is a student council meeting this Thursday at 7 am in Ms. Berg’s room. We’re looking forward to seeing the new officers at work in their positions. However, no need to be previously involved to attend this meeting. We are always excited to welcome new members and ideas. See you there!

 

If you are in 11th or 12th grade and interested in taking the ASVAB test, please sign up in Google Classroom under Class of 2020 or 2021.  This is the military entrance exam as well as a career interest inventory.  The test will be given at Dow High next Tuesday, November 26. Please stop in the counseling office if you have any questions.

 

Charger Equality Club's next meeting today after 7th hour in Mr. Chamber's room, room 217. Our meetings have been moved to the third Tuesday of every month. This month's topic is Coming Out! Please contact Christi LeCaptain or Rin Dunlap if you have any questions.

 

Hey Science enthusiasts ,  Dow High's Science Olympiad Team will be having an informational meeting on Thursday the 21st after 6th and 7th hours in Mr McNamara's room 109.  The meeting will not last long. Please come and join the fun.

 

Congratulations to everyone who tried out for RenFair! The judges saw some amazing auditions, and it was very difficult to narrow it down to our final list of performers. That list of 2020 RenFair acts is posted in the main office and on the door to the orchestra room. Congratulations again! The school can't wait to see you perform on January 24

 

Anyone who would like to visit an off-site class that was in the hallway last week, please turn in your parent permission sheet to the Counseling Office today.  This Wednesday morning is when the visit will take place. If you are interested but do not have a permission slip, please let the Counseling Center know so you can be added to the list.  


 

Spanish Club will meet on Friday, November 22nd in room 375 DURING 7th hour and again AFTER 7th hour for those students who can't come earlier. Current students, future students , and anyone else is welcome to join Spanish Club!

 

 

Have you ever had an interest in investing, but couldn’t make a profit despite all your efforts? Well, Investment Club is the club for you. We will learn how to develop a portfolio and more about all types of investing, even if you don’t have any prior knowledge. We provide real-world experience using a stock market simulator and help develop strategies for investing your money. The next meeting is Tuesday, November 19th after 6th and 7th hour in Mrs. Royalty’s classroom, room 356.

 

 

The Drama Club will be performing Shakespeare's The Tempest on November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at 7pm. Tickets will be sold at both lunches outside of the office. Student and senior citizen tickets cost $6 and adult tickets cost $8.

We look forward to putting on a great Fall show!

Performances will be held at Central Auditorium.

It’s starting to look like winter chargers. If you have fun in the snow, Alpine Club may be the club for you! We will have a meeting this Thursday to discuss our first trip of the year. The meeting will be after both 6th and 7th hour in room 129B. Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities are welcome! See you there!"

 

Book club will meet this Thursday in Ms. Nelson's room (304) after 7th hour. New members are always welcome. Hope to see you there!

GO GREEN meets today at 3:30 in room 220. We are having our yearbook picture taken at this meeting so please make every effort to attend!

Girls Soccer

There will be an informational meeting this Thursday, November 21st at 3:00 in Mr. Watkins room for anyone interested in trying out for the girl’s soccer team. The meeting should take approximately 30 minutes. See you there!

 

 

 

 

 

Bowling tryouts will be today,  tomorrow and Thursday at Northern Lanes from 3:30 pm - 5 pm.  There is a $10.00 fee for tryouts.
