Attention Juniors and Seniors


Now is the time to sign up to speak with admissions representatives for various colleges.  There are currently 15 colleges scheduled to visit Dow High during the month of September. Visits begin on Monday with Michigan Tech, Notre Dame, and Alma College.  Please sign up on the Counseling Google Classroom, or the sign up sheets in the counseling office. Check back regularly for more scheduled visits

Go Green


Go green's work day this Friday at the greenhouse has been cancelled.

Canada Club


Come to Canada Club, the next meeting will be Wednesday, September 19th, at 7:05 in Mr. McNamara’s room (room 109). We’ll take a look at Canadian Current events, eat some timbits, and talk all things Gander! We hope to see you there!


Culture Club


Attention all freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors!  Culture Club is coming to DHS this school year. No, not Culture Club, the 80s band, but a student group called Culture Club--a club which embraces and celebrates diversity, individuality, and culture.


For an informational meeting, come to Ms. Hilliard’s room 319 next week on Monday, September 17th OR Tuesday, September 18th at 3:30 p.m.  The meeting will last about half an hour. You need only attend ONE meeting for the information will be the same at both. Please bring your Chromebooks!"


National Honor Society


The first National Honor Society meeting of the year will be today, September 13 for about twenty minutes, which both probationary and inducted members are expected to attend one of the meetings.  The 2:30 NHS meeting will be in the cafeteria, while the morning and 3:30 ones are still in the Little Theater, as usual.



R....E.....D -- Remember Everyone Deployed

The Dow Football Program is raising funds and awareness for all of our Military Service Men and Women.  Please join us as we WHITE OUT the school and the stadium for our Military Appreciation Night Game this Friday night  in support of our military personnel. White T-shirts will be on sale Monday through Thursday this week for only $10 at both lunches in the hallway in front of the cafeteria.


Dow soccer moved to 11-0-0 last night with an 8-0 mercy over Bay City Central.  Adam Elfawal and Jordan Plewa had 2 goals a piece, and Max Sanchez, Ben Ismail, Ethan Swartzentruber and Sam Hatfield all added a goal each.  Andrey Hofius had 3 assists and Tyler Lyman and Julien Theuerkauf had 2 assists each. Adam Pacholke had the shutout in goal. Next game is Saturday at Traverse City West at 1:45pm.


Dow High's Equestrian Team has their 3rd round of Districts on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Midland Fairgrounds starting at 8:30 am - 7:00 pm.  dow High is currently ranked in 3rd place and the top 2 teams advance to Regionals.
