H.H. Dow High Announcements September 4, 2018

Welcome Back Chargers!

Hey Chargers!

The GO GREEN club would like to welcome you back, and remind you that there are tons of great school supplies, such as binders, notebooks, dividers, locker shelves, and magnetic locker mirrors on the 'SHARING SHELVES", in the media center under the large GO GREEN banner!  These supplies are totally free, and are available year round.

Also, if you ever have extra school supplies that you don't need, please consider placing them on the  'SHARING SHELVES" for other Chargers who may need them!

Listen up, Chargers!!

Please come to auditions having completed the audition form.

If you are interested being a part of cast or crew, please talk to any thespian or email dowdrama@gmail.com for a form and more information about the process.

Hope to see you there!

Project 111, the safe driving movement, is excited to be launching our fifth year at Dow High!  We have some very exciting changes to announce! Project 111 is extending our INCENTIVES program to the junior class.  We want to give THEM reasons to make great choices behind the wheel, as well as our seniors. Every month, Sept - April, Project 111 will reward safe drivers with incentives.  The senior class will be rewarded with one $300 grand incentive and one $50 incentive. The junior class will be rewarded with 2 $50 incentives. In May - one safe driving senior will be rewarded with a $1,000 scholarship!!!!  Students need to stay traffic ticket free and in good standing at school and in the community in order to be eligible to earn incentives! All incentives are randomly drawn!

Each month we focus on a different safe driving topic that relates to teens.  In September we will focus on teens driving with teens in their car. This is the NUMBER ONE danger to a teen driver!

Project 111 would like to invite you to our Between the Lines benefit concert on Tuesday, Sept. 18th at Central Auditorium.  This is a fun evening of great entertainment with Project 111 Executive Director Sarah Schieber and the Michigan Jazz Trail Big Band!  Join us for great music and help us raise awareness of teen safe driving and distracted driving! Visit www.project111.org for more information.

Pictures are scheduled for September 10, 2018.
