Athletic Registration

Dear Chargers:

 

Athletes must complete the following three items in order to practice or tryout:

 

  1. Athletic Registration Form  (online at https://www.dowchargers.com) - Opens on July 19th

 

H.H. Dow High School Athletic Department has collaborated with Big Teams Sports-PlanetHS, for our online athletic registration. We are now able to complete all required items electronically. This is our 2nd Year and the registration process is much easier for parent and students who have accounts from last year.  Returning Parents & Student Form (attached) for help if needed.

If new to this registration process, please refer to the PlanetHS’s Kick Off Letter (attached) to get started. This initial process can be frustrating if you do not follow the directions carefully.  It is important to realize that parents and students must create separate accounts, using different emails and/or mobile numbers. These accounts are easily updated and carry over to future seasons and years so that you do not need to enter the same information again.

 

  1. Athletic Physical Form        

 

Physical Examination must be dated after April 15, 2021 to be valid.  Anyone without a valid 2021-22 physical will need to have one completed prior to participation. Physical Forms can be uploaded online (planetHS), dropped off at DHS main office, or emailed to jinesvj@midlandps.org.   1. Activity Fee Requirement  (one of the following three)
  1. $150 Paid online at https://www.schoolpay.com/login
  2. 2021-2022 Free and Reduced Lunch application completed at https://www.lunchapp.com/
  3. An email to the DHS Athletic Director – John Streeter – streeterje@midlandps.org      asking for a scholarship due to financial hardship

 

All student athletes must pay their $150 activity fee prior to the first day of practice/tryouts. For fall sports, these dates are August 9th for all fall sports.  A refund or partial refund will be issued to any athlete that does not make the team or suffers a season-ending injury, for which the Activity Fee has been paid. All requests for refunds must be made to the athletic department. 

 

Student Athletes receive an annual athletic pass at no extra charge when they fulfill their activity fee obligation.  We encourage students who participate in H.H. Dow High athletics to pay their activity fee in the fall to take full advantage of this pass during the 2021-2022 school year. Students should receive their school picture ID athletic pass within a week after picture day. We will NOT be issuing “Charger Cards” this year.  Our new registration process will give coaches access to names that have met the requirements.
