SADD/SAVE Celebrating Anti Violence Week
DOW HIGH show off your kindness by sending someone a Candy gram . That someone who picked up debris after the avalanche coming from your locker, or gave you a ride because you missed the bus or helped you with programming or handed you a square of toilet paper.............There are so many kind and helpful people that need a shout out! BUY A CANDY GRAM this Wednesday or Thursday for that special someone. Write their first and last name and 3rd hour if possible at the SADD SAVE table both lunches WED and THURS. Delivery will be Friday.

The DHS 3rd Annual Glow Dance is coming up with Friday! Teachers, please make sure to show the informational video sent to your email in your third hour class today. See you at the dance with at least two non-perishable food items and go all out with your neon at school on Friday as well!
Congratulations to everyone who auditioned to be a RenFair emcee!
The high level of performance from everyone made it a very tough decision, but the judges did finally make a selection. This year's RenFair emcees are: Maya Baker, Collin Erickson, Liam McLeod, Sydni Nikolai, Isabella Rhee, and Libby Stoecker!
RenFair act auditions start tomorrow, and today is the last day to sign up. Make sure you stop by the office to sign-up and pick up an application!
DHS marketing classes will be selling various items for the annual Make-a-Wish project – starting Monday, November 11 through Friday, November 22. Please visit the hallway between the Charger Shoppe and the Library during both lunches to purchase from the students. All profit from this project is donated to Make-a-Wish! Thanks for your support!
Do you play D&D? Do you like writing, creating, or immersing yourself in other worlds? Do you know what LARP is? If you answered "Yes" to any or all of these questions, Dow High's newest club "Eclipsed", is for you! Focusing on LARP (Live Action Role Play) we will be LARPing, talking about LARP, and enjoying the company of fellow LARPers. We are meeting today, November 13th In Miss Berg's room, room 323. We will be having a viewing party, there will be snacks! Hold! 3,2,1, Lay-on!
There will be a National Honor Society meeting this Thursday, November 14th before school at 7:10 and after sixth hour at 2:30 in the Little Theater. The meeting after seventh hour, at 3:30, will be held in Mr. Frye's room, room 343.
Attention all lovers of chemistry! Chemistry club will have its November meeting this Wednesday after 6th and 7th hour. We will have Chemistry on display as well as everybody's favorite activity: Arts and crafts! Come see us in room 129B.
Pop cans, pop cans, pop cans!!!
Bring in pop cans to your third hour to help your favorite class in the school - student leadership!!!! By bringing in pop cans you can help us make your events even better. Each person from the winning class will get a free bag of popcorn! The pop can drive will end on November 15th.

This friday the 15th before school from 7 - 7:30 in Ms. Lee’s class we'll be teaching students valuable life skills that they may not have learned in school such as cooking and sewing.
Attention Chargers! The Battle of the Bands audition deadline has been moved to November 13th. Get together your band and email an audition video to Olivia Kaminski. Make sure to include the lyrics of the song and the names of the members of your band as well. Don't forget the Battle of the Bands will take place on Friday, December 6th from 7-8:30 pm. The top bands will receive prizes.
The Drama Club will be performing Shakespeare's The Tempest on November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at 7pm. Tickets will be sold at both lunches outside of the office. Student and senior citizen tickets cost $6 and adult tickets cost $8.

Did you know that you can attend some career and technical classes, such as Agriscience, Building Trades, Culinary Arts, Educational Careers and Welding at other buildings in Midland County as part of your school day? These programs will be in the hallway during lunch on Thursday, November 14. After talking to these groups, if you want to visit a class, make sure you pick up a permission sheet and return to the counseling center by Monday, November 18.
For all boys interested in playing basketball, tryouts will be held from Monday (November 18th) to Wednesday (November 20th) from 5:30-8:30 PM. If you have any questions, please come see Mr. Karapas in room 330.

The DHS Pom team is accepting new team members for their winter competitive season!
Practices are Monday-Wednesday 4:00-6:00 in the cafeteria.
Last day to join is November 18th.
Anyone interested in wrestling should meet in the Media Center on Monday at 2:50 for a meeting. Practice will start in the wrestling room after the meeting. If you have a 7th hour, come to the wrestling room after class.
Physicals, registration and participation fee must be taken care of prior to being able to practice.
Bowling tryouts will be Tuesday November 19th, Wednesday November 20th and Thursday November 21st at Northern Lanes from 3:30 pm - 5 pm. There is a $10.00 fee for tryouts.
