DHS marketing classes will be selling various items for the annual Make-a-Wish project – starting Monday, November 11 through Friday, November 22. Please visit the hallway between the Charger Shoppe and the Library during both lunches to purchase from the students. All profit from this project is donated to Make-a-Wish! Thanks for your support!
Club Med will be meeting today, November 7th at 3:00 pm in Room 129A. A first year family medicine resident will be coming in to talk about her pathway in medicine, and will be answering questions. Snacks will be provided, everyone is welcome!
This week’s FGL theme is the Sword Art Online series. We’ll be discussing plot, characters, and whether or not it was a good show. Our meeting will be in Dr. Francisco's room after 6th hour.
Pop cans, pop cans, pop cans!!! Bring in pop cans to your third hour to help your favorite class in the school - student leadership!!!! By bringing in pop cans you can help us make your events even better. Each person from the winning class will get a free bag of popcorn! The pop can drive will end on November 15th.
Calling all students interested in performing at RenFair. Auditions are next week! Emcee auditions are on Tuesday, November 12, and act auditions are on Thursday, November 14 and Friday, November 15. The judges can't wait to see what you have put together, so make sure you sign-up for an audition slot. Sign-ups and application forms are in the main office.
Attention Chargers! The Battle of the Bands audition deadline has been moved to November 13th. Get together your band and email an audition video to Olivia Kaminski. Make sure to include the lyrics of the song and the names of the members of your band as well. Don't forget the Battle of the Bands will take place on Friday, December 6th from 7-8:30 pm. The top bands will receive prizes.
Attention all runners! Running club is back! Whether you want to get in shape for track, are considering running cross country next year, or just want to run, the Running Club is the perfect club for you! You do not have to have any prior running experience to join; everyone is welcome! Our first meeting will take place Monday, November 11 in Ms. Haruska’s room, room 221, at 3:30. We will be making plans for workouts and setting our goals. We may go on a run after the short meeting, so come prepared! Hope to see you there!
Spanish Club will hold its first meeting Friday, November 8th during 7th hour in room 375. Spanish Club is open to current students, former students, future students, or anyone interested. If you have a 7th hour, please come! We will hold another short Spanish Club meeting after 7th hour also!
Did you know that you can attend some career and technical classes, such as Agriscience, Building Trades, Culinary Arts, Educational Careers and Welding at other buildings in Midland County as part of your school day? These programs will be in the hallway during lunch on Thursday, November 14. After talking to these groups, if you want to visit a class, make sure you pick up a permission sheet and return to the counseling center by Monday, November 18.

Dow Volleyball wins in 4 sets last night vs Midland High 25-14, 25-12, 24-26, 25-14. Some of the key contributors of the win were:

Francesca Queary with 11 kills, 2 aces, and 2 blocks
Jenna Somers with 20 digs
Laura Hershauer with 38 assists and 11 digs.

The JV pom team is accepting new team members for our winter competitive season.
Practices start November 11th and we will not accept anyone after November 18th
Practices are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 4:00-6:00 in the cafeteria.
