Project Epeolatry, an IB CAS community service project, will be collecting gently used picture books starting September 23rd in front of the main office, in order to help combat the reading disparity present among young children. Please consider donating to help this project - any help is much appreciated!


Attention GO GREEN members and friends


Just a reminder that we will be making T-shirt bags, and working on our Homecoming banner today after school in Mrs. Swanson's room,  room 239, from 2:30 - 4pm, or however late you can stay.... Hope to see you there!


Did you know half of all marine life has been lost in the last 40 years and by the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish?The IB CAS project, Turning Green, will be screening the film, Blue, regarding these issues, this Sunday night at Live Oak Coffeehouse at 6pm. Turning Green welcomes you to come for the coffee, but stay for the sea this Sunday night at Live Oak!




Do you like anime, cosplay, and video games? Then come to FGL’s first meeting this today in Dr. Francisco's room, room 355. The meeting will start after 6th hour and go until 4.



Math Club


Would you like to develop your ability to think creatively? Come to Math Club in Room 140 after 7th hour on Fridays (from 3:30-4:30). We will focus on the upcoming MMPC and the tips and tricks to do better. Snacks will be provided.  


Hoco Tickets


Ticket sales will be starting on October 1st with tickets being available during BOTH lunches, for $8. But get your ticket when we start selling them at school, because it’ll be $10 at the door!


Book club will be hosting its first meeting of the year on today September 26th after 7th hour in room 304! If you love to read, consider your Thursday booked!;)




Do you like being on stage? Do you like working behind the scenes? If so, then you should be interested in Dow High Drama’s Fall Play— The Tempest by Shakespeare.


Auditions are today, September 26th 4-6:30pm at Central Auditorium’s little theatre.

The Girls Cross Country team took 3rd place in yesterday's SVL North Jamboree.  They were lead by a 9th place finish by Isabella Rhee and an 11th place finish by Megan Churm.  Also scoring for Dow were Mallory Matthews, Tristan Luick, Norah Allington, Monica Thill, and Brooklyn Duranceau.


The Boys team finish 4th with Josiah Burr in  2nd, Joshua Burr in 10th, Peter Kozerski 18th and Andrew Selle 19th.  The other varsity finishers for Dow were Jacob Rettelle, Ben Scott, and Ethan Zinkweg.


The Cross Country team will compete again this Saturday in the Coaches Legend Classic in Brighton.


Dow's JV remains undefeated and moved to 14-0-1, and 5-0-0 in the SVL North with a win at home to Midland High.  Hayden Baus and Chip Shumaker each had 1 save in goal, and Justin Schafer, Ian Metzler, Adam Pfeiffer, Danny Safadi, and Cole Kinney led the defense to earn the team's 13th shutout. 


With the win, the JV team wrapped up the SVL North championship.  For the season Dow's JV outscored its SVL opponents 35-0.  


The Chargers were led by 3 goals from Lance Coleman, and 1 each from Hayden Baus, Isaac Skinner, Sam Senkowski, Nick Pisarczyk, and Adam Pfeiffer. 


Isaac Skinner and Shota Nishida each had 2 assists while Drew Soto, Adam Pfeiffer, and Alex Futter each had an assist.    


Next up the Chargers will travel to Grand Haven to play Saturday at 12:00.
