Join us for a short informational meeting in Mr. Murray’s room, room 133, today Tuesday or tomorrow Wednesday after 6th and 7th hour. If you cannot make these times, please see Mr. Murray at any time.

IB CAS COMMUNITY
Project Epeolatry, an IB CAS community service project, will be collecting gently used picture books starting September 23rd in front of the main office, in order to help combat the reading disparity present among young children. Please consider donating to help this project - any help is much appreciated!

Do you like anime, cosplay, and video games? Then come to FGL’s first meeting this Thursday in Dr. Francisco's room, room 355. The meeting will start after 6th hour and go until 4.
Game Developers Club
The Dow High Game Developers Club is meeting this Wednesday (and every Wed) from 2:30 - 4:00. If you have an interest in developing and coding a computer game with the club, we hope you will join us. We are looking for people to contribute ideas, code, and art work. Or if you want to participate in some other way, we hope to see you there. We meet in the CEC lab, room 140. See Mrs. White if you have questions.
Would you like to develop your ability to think creatively? Come to Math Club in Room 140 after 7th hour on Fridays (from 3:30-4:30). We will focus on the upcoming MMPC and the tips and tricks to do better. Snacks will be provided.
IB Junior Candidates
Full junior IB Diploma Candidates- meet in the cafeteria Wednesday at the start of 3rd hour to get your testing signup sheet. You will be sent back to class with a pass. If you have questions or can't make the meeting see Ms. Pancost in the Counseling Center.
Are you interested in writing poetry or performing on stage? Dow High's Poetry Club "Verses the World" will begin meeting today Tuesday, September 24th at 3:25 pm in room 346. Meetings will be held every other Tuesday. Please see Ms. Mo if you have any questions. See you on Tuesday!
Information about the MSU Poetry Contest and MSU Fiction Contest is now available. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 18. Please see your English teacher for more information and GOOD LUCK!
HOMECOMING! October 5th from 7- 10.
Ticket sales will be starting on October 1st with tickets being available during BOTH lunches, for $8. But get your ticket when we start selling them at school, because it’ll be $10 at the door!
Book club will be hosting its first meeting of the year on Thursday September 26th after 7th hour in room 304! If you love to read, consider your Thursday booked!;)
Attention German Clubbers:
The fourth Tuesday of the month is here and that means German Club! It was great to see so many of you turn up last time. Let's see if we can keep that going. This week we'll continue working on our Homecoming banner plus we'll be making Locker Signs. If you weren't able to come last time, NO PROBLEM! Just come down to room 377 today Tuesday after 7th hour for snacks, friends and fun in German Club.

Overall we won 6-2. We played a total of 8 matches being 3 singles and 5 doubles. We won all 3 singles and 3 out of 5 doubles.

JVvolleyball cruised to a win over lapeer last night in straight sets. Abbey Rey and Jessica Erickson had 5 kills each, while Tayor Neuman and Summer Luick both added 3 kills. Halle Reid had 15 digs with Allison Miller and Grace Militello contributing 9 each. Makena Saylor handed out 10 assists and scored 3 aces.
Freshman volleyball fought hard to beat Lapeer after they lost game 1 23-25. Game 2 they won 25-18 and game 3 they won 15-13. Helen lead with serves again serving 11 points with 4 aces. Jade, Libby, and Maddy had 7 digs each. Elleanna lead the team with 6 kills. Wait to finish strong Freshman.
Varsity won last night in 4 sets, 32-30 19-25 25-17, 25-13. Hailey Tanis had 13 kills and 5 blocks, Anna Schalk 7 digs and 3 aces and Gabrielle Wilson had 7 kills and 2 blocks
Volleyball’s next match is Thursday at Heritage.
Monday the Girls coach team played the Dow High invitational and placed 10th. Playing for the Chargers were Anna Bradford, Abbey Iueter, Hanna Shewchuck, Paige Barndard, and Claire Early.
Tuesday the Chargers won their quad match defeating Mt. Pleasant, Heritage, and Midland High. Lillian Pressnell was medalist for the night with a very good score of 42, Hanna Shewchuck , Anna Bradfrod, and Abbey Iueter all had sold rounds in the victory.
