Everyday, we wake up knowing we have fresh, running water waiting for us to take a shower, brush our teeth, cook, and simply keep us hydrated throughout the day. Clean water is a crucial part of life, however, it’s not something everyone has. Around the world, girls walk for hours every day to collect water from unsafe sources for their families to drink, bathe and cook with, preventing them from receiving an education. Families are kept from a higher income and communities suffer from illnesses due to contaminated water.

To help change the lives of people around the world, we will be holding a competition between our 3rd hour classes, which class can raise the most money for the WE walk for water fundraiser! Every $25 gives one person clean water for life. Every $250 gives a family of 10 clean water for life. Every $1000 gives a community of 40 people clean water for life. Every $5000 gives a clean water system for a school and provides the tools to build a brighter future for students and the school. WE KNOW if we all come together, as a school and a community we can raise $2000! The money has to be in by May 10 or donate at . The class that raises the most money will receive donuts!

Join us for a Walk for Water on Saturday May 11th at 9am on the Dow High Track to simulate the walk that women and children make everyday to provide their families with their water source.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email Rese Elza or Emma Schultz. Also, for updated information, follow our instagram account @agua_dulcehhd

Food Drive

"Attention Chargers! Did you know that nearly 1/2 of the world’s population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day, and more than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.25 a day. Tolu Oshin, Damon Belding, and Colton Boguszewski of Sra. Bonotto's 2nd hour class are holding a food drive to raise awareness about global poverty. It will run from Monday the 6th to Friday the 10th. Donated goods can be dropped off in Sra. Bonotto's room, room 367. You can also donate bottled water, and if you would like to donate money, contact Tolu Oshin. Our goal is 100 cans of canned goods. We know we can do it!".
