Thank you chargers for coming out and supporting the third annual Mr. Charger! Huge thanks to our amazing emcees Isaac Moolenaar, Scott Stolz, Ainsley Lacey, and Emma Meitler .
Congratulations to Sophi Pennex, Lauren Woods, Carly May, Lauren Estes, Anish Middha, Saketh Kamaraju, Irshad Hussein, Charlee Simansky, Hanna Shewchuck, Adelina Wolok, Weston Johnson, Andrew Brandon, Sentthur S.K.V., Grant Weise, Gabi Donoso, Nicole Peters, Audrey Xu, and Joey Meilink who recently competed at the International DECA Competition held in Orlando, FL. Over 22,000 students from all over the world were in attendance. Dow High had 3 students place in their events. Saketh Kamaraju placed in the top 40 for his test. Nicole Peters and Joey Meilink were finalists in their events and placed in the top 20. These students are among the less than 1% of Michigan DECA students who placed at the International level. Congratulations on a job well done!
CONGRATULATIONS are in order for Charlee Simanskey who has been selected as the winner of the Northwood Junior Business Student of the Year scholarship. This honor comes with a $5,000 per year renewable scholarship to Northwood University, a LAB Camp scholarship, certificate with gift and special recognition. Congratulations Charlee!
Chromebook collection is Friday, May 17 in your English classes. Bring your Chromebook, Charger, and door security badges for turn in.
All students - Please see Ms. Bloom or Ms. Phipps if you have known Chromebook repairs to be done that you've been sitting on. You will be issued a loaner to use. All Chromebooks and chargers will be collected for inventory and repair assessment this summer for grades 9-11 at the end of the school year.
Attention all IB Diploma Candidates
We will be having a voluntary IB Club meeting this Friday May 3rd in the cafeteria after both 6th and 7th hour. We will be going over test taking tips and will be answering any questions you have about your upcoming IB tests. Hope to see you there!

Special Olympics is back! We will be having a kick ball tournament at the end of May, so make sure to check your email or stop by our table at lunch this week to sign up! Important announcements for those of you attending prom THIS Saturday at the Great Hall: First, you must bring an ID to prom. Second, you will not be allowed to enter until after 5:30pm and must enter before 6:15pm. Prom ends at 11pm. Last, please check your email and/or the hard copies around the school for your prom table number. You need to know your own table number BEFORE 3rd hour Friday. Third hour teachers, please allow students a couple minutes to check their email now.
The Girl’s Varsity Soccer team continued their winning ways last night, taking down Bay City Western by the score of 5-2. Annie Meilink has two goals while Paige Messick, Kennedy Caldwell and Charlotte Pohl each tallied a goal of their own. The Chargers remain undefeated in the SVL. Two big home games next week on Monday and Wednesday. Make sure you come out and support!
