NHS is selling flowers and carnations to be delivered to a special someone during third hour on Valentine's day. Stop by the table during lunch this week through Friday the 8th to get a flower for $4 or a carnation for $2.
Rescheduled AMC MATH
The AMC math test that was to be given yesterday has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, Feb 13th. It will be administered during 1st & 2nd hours in the cafeteria. If you are interested in practicing for the AMC, the Dow High Math Club will meet today after school at 3:30 and we will go over items that were on the test that was to be given yesterday. We meet in room 140 every Friday.

Well, this is your chance. It’s that time of year again. We will be holding auditions for the 2019-2020 announcement team.
If you are a CURRENT sophomore or junior and would like to audition, please sign up in the main office. The last day to sign up will be Thursday, March 22nd with auditions being held April 15th and 16th.
Sign-up sheet is on the counter in the main office.
The first 12 students to sign up will be able to audition so DON’T DELAY!!!
Talent auditions will be held next Wednesday and Thursday the 13th and 14th in the Little Theater.
Hey muggle world! The Harry Potter Quidditch Match fundraiser for the American Cancer Society is on Sunday, February 24 from 1-3 pm. We need people to sign up to play! You can find the sign-up sheets in the office, around the hallways and in the charger shop. Each grade represents a Hogwarts house; freshman Hufflepuff, sophomores Gryffindor, juniors Ravenclaw, and seniors are Slytherin. Please play for your house/grade because the winning grade will win the Quidditch cup! Please contact Isabella McDaniel if you have any questions.
Hey, Chargers! The Midland High Meistersingers are now taking orders for Singing Valentines. If you want to tell that special someone, a friend, a family member, or even your teacher just how much they mean to you, this is the perfect way to do so! Valentines are $10 for a delivery to Midland or Dow High, $15 for elsewhere, and an extra $3 for the delivery of a carnation. The President of the Meistersingers will be in the hallway outside the cafeteria TODAY after both sixth and seventh hours to take your orders. You can also print off a form from the Meistersinger Facebook page and give it to the Midland High main office or your favorite Meistersinger.
Juniors and Co-op
Calling all JUNIORS interested in co-oping next year! There will be informational meetings on February 13th at 7:15 and 2:30 in room 353. If you are thinking about co-op or have questions about co-op opportunities this meeting is for you!
Sophomores interested in becoming IB Diploma candidates be sure to submit your Admissions Agreement form to the Counseling Center by Friday. Extra copies of the form are in Counseling.
There is a free clinic for all high school students looking to get into umpiring little league and high school baseball and softball games this spring/summer. If any of you are interested please see Mr. Streeter.
Boys lost to Lapeer 12 1/2 to 17 1/2 they started out strong winning both of their Baker games. Marc Tipler won both of his Peterson games with a 169 & 209 and Bruce Matthews tied with a 176. Kaden York had a 177.
The girls also lost to Lapeer 9-21 they lost both of their Baker games. Rebecca White won both of her Peterson games with scores of 194 & 174, Samantha Klein won one with a a 178, Allison Leslie with a 177 and Breanna Prince with a 131. Samantha also shot a 157, Allison shot a 147, Breanna Prince shot a 132 and Alora Marshall shot a 133.
