Announcements for the MRD: Dow’s Political and Economic Discussion Club

This week the MRD, Dow’s political and economic discussion club, will be discussing critical developments in the working class movement in regards to the GM plant closures and the Wildcat strikes in Mexico. The latter is currently over 70,000 strong, the biggest working class strike on the continent in the last twenty years, and has faced a complete media blackout with the exception of the World Socialist Website (https://www.wsws.org/). We will also be discussing worker demonstrations that are set to occur this weekend at GM’s headquarters in Detroit in relation to pseudo-left group activities in America. If anyone has any ideas for other subject matter, you’d like the MRD to discuss in the future you can always contact Luke Mavis through email to submit your ideas. For those of you interested in this week’s discussion topics, please join us in the Little Theater this Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:15 after school.
