Study Session

Grab your notes and your books and bring your friends to our teens only cram session at the library.

When: Sunday, January 13 from 5:30-8pm

Where: Grace A. Dow Library Auditorium

Bring your own computer, we will provide snacks!


Calling all performance poets -- Poetry Out Loud 2019 is here. If you want to participate in the Michigan Humanities poetry appreciation program  - you must contact Ms. Mo by Friday, January 11, 2019. This event involves memorizing and presenting a poem from a collection selected by the Poetry Out Loud Organization. This is not a performance of one's original work. Please contact Ms. Mo with any questions.


Will be hosting a study session for exams this week in Mr. Chambers room this Thursday. Everyone can come join us for a study session even if you're not in the cub. So come and Study while relaxing with us before exams start in a stress free zone!

Have you got Talent?

Can you or someone you know juggle? How about solve a rubix cube? Sing, dance, or act too? If you answered yes to any of those questions that you should audition for the first ever Dow High´s got talent show. Auditions will be held on January 30-31st from 2:30-5:00 in the little theater. If you have any questions please contact Rihana Syed and Maya Al-Ahmad.¨

Notes of appreciation

Teachers,students want to show your appreciation towards a friend?  Sending a letter is a perfect way! Come on down to the table in front of the lunch room next Friday January 11  to write a meaningful message to a great friend.

Due to the early semester end, our next meeting will be Thursday, January 10 and Marking Period 2 hours are due the day after, Friday, January 11, at 11:59 PM. After that, we have exams on which NHS wishes all of you the best of luck


Hey Chargers!

Exams are just around the corner, but romaine calm!  On Monday January 14 we invite you to leaf behind the stress of exams and join this kale to action. Lettuce club will have it's one and only annual meeting after 7th hour in Señora Bonotto’s room, room 367. Bring your own head of lettuce and anything else you may want (like salad dressing). Be the fastest to eat the entire thing and you become the head of lettuce club! Bring your friends to cheer you on. Lettuce meet!  

Key Club

Hey Key Clubbers!  Due to exams being next week we are cancelling our weekly meeting today.  Good luck and we will see you after exams!


Gaming Club

Do you need to relieve some pre exams stress? Join the Dow High Gaming Club this Thursday the 10th for some video game stress-release exercises. We will be meeting in the Elearning lab after 7th hour, 3:30pm. Please contact Mr. Chase, Mrs. Nelson, or Dana Winslow for more information.




The JV Girls basketball team defeated the Mt. Pleasant Oilers Friday night 42-10.  Leading the way for the Chargers were Lauren Burgard with 9 points, Alli Miller with 8 points, Summer Luick with 6 points, Halle Reid & Kourtney Fischer each had 5 points, Jordan Danna with 4 points and Abby McNally, Kennedy Caldwell, Amanda Kammer & Abbey Ieuter each chipped in 2 points.

The JV Girls basketball team lost to Flushing last night 33-19.  Leading the way for the Chargers were Halle Reid with 8 points, Jordan Danna & Kourtney Fischer each with 3 points and Alli Miller, Summer Luick & Lauren Burgard each tossed in 2 points.  


Good Luck Charger Wrestlers and Charger Bowlers both competing away tonight and good luck Charger Hockey playing at home tonight against Lapeer at 7 PM.
