Toys for Tots

 

Tis the season for Toys for Tots! Calling all 3rd hour classes to gather as many new, unwrapped, toys as you can to make children in Midland County have a very Merry Holiday! The class who collects the most toys will win doughnuts courtesy of Dow High DECA and Midland's newest Bakery - The Sticky Paw.

 

Collection runs through December 14th so pick up a few toys while you're out shopping on Black Friday!

 

Talent Show

 

Can you or someone you know juggle? How about solve a rubix cube? Sing, dance, or act too? If you answered yes to any of those questions than you should audition for the first ever Dow High´s got talent show. Auditions will be held on January 30 through 31st from 2:30-5:00 in the little theater. If you have any questions please contact Rihana Syed and Maya Al-Ahmad.

 

Charger Shoppe

 

Please note that the Charger Shoppe will be closed this Friday, December 7, all day!  Soooooooooo - our Just Dance day will be moved to Wonderful Wednesday!

 

Also, make sure you stop into the Charger Shoppe anytime this week to get some of our amazing Dippin’ Dots!"

Hey Chargers! Are you in need of a sweet treat, bracelets, or scrunchies? What about… spaghetti? Wednesday during both lunches, marketing students will be hosting a sale and all profits will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation

 


 

Deck the Halls

 

Deck the halls with boughs of holly! It’s getting close to the holiday's Chargers and that means it’s almost time for our Deck the Halls competition. Get into the holiday spirit by decorating the doorway of your 3rd-hour class. To enter, 3rd-hour teachers should check for an email from Mrs. Outinen and fill out the included form.




 

Club Med

 

Meeting this Wednesday, December 5th at 3:30 in room 129A.  Hope to see you there.

 

Attention Seniors:

 

The commencement committee is now taking names for any senior interested in being a student commencement speaker for the Class of 2019. There is a sign-up sheet in the main office. You will have until December 21 at 3 pm. to sign up. You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. There is a process to get from the sign-up list down to two speakers for the ceremony. If you sign-up, you will hear about this process.  Good luck!

 

Production Crew

 

Like sports? Interested in announcing?

Become part of a production crew and help to broadcast basketball games by joining Vid Comm. There will be a short informational meeting this Thursday, December 6 in Mrs. Hall’s, room 218 at 3:30. If you can’t make it, contact Jason Laplow or Mrs. Hall.


 

Sports

 

The JV Girls basketball team lost to Freeland last night 28-34.  Leading the way for the Chargers were Kourtney Fischer with 10 points, Summer Luick with 6 points & 10 rebounds, Halle Reid with 6 points, Lauren Burgard with 4 points and Kennedy Caldwell with 2 points & 6 rebounds.

 

Good luck Wrestling!  Competing away against Lapeer and Powers.
