MRD: Dow’s Political and Economic Discussion Club
The MRD would like to apologize for our long absence which was completely unplanned, we will not be meeting this week due to Tuesday’s day-off but we will be continuing our normal meeting schedule next week. For this week we would like to remind the students of Dow High that this Wednesday marks the 101st anniversary of the Russian October Revolution of 1917, an event that has forever left its mark on our modern economic and political landscape. We may be talking about this subject matter and other modern political and economic subject matters next week. Those interested should plan to meet next week from 3:00 to 4:15 on Tuesday in the Little Theater. Anyone who has ideas for discussion topics in upcoming meetings can contact Luke Mavis to put them on the agenda.
Let’s grow stronger together.
This month's NHS meeting will be Thursday, November 8 before school at 7:10 and after seventh hour in the Little Theatre, and after 6th hour in the cafeteria. Hours are due the next day.
Its coffee and hot cocoa time! We will be serving apple cider smoothies and frozen yogurt in the lunch line so stop by and try our new stations.
Are you interested in world issues such as poverty, world hunger, education, and inequality? Then join Model United Nations! Our first meeting, after being rescheduled twice, will be today Monday, November 5th from 3:30 to 4:30. We only have two conferences and 30 spots this year, so come claim your spot!
SADD SAVE members and anyone interested in joining the anti bullying movement at DOW High should meet after school in room 115 next Wednesday. We are planning fun activities to remind the student body that everyone in this school is important and contributes to the DOW High Family. Everyone here deserves to experience the happiness and joy our community can offer. Please join us this Wednesday! Snacks of course!
