Battle of the Bands


“Calling all bands! Key club will be having our annual battle of the bands competition on December 14 and we are looking for student-based bands to compete and participate in this awesome night. Interested? Send a one minute audition video to Abby Carn by November 14th.”




Calling all GSA members, GSA WILL NOT be in Mr. Chambers room today. Instead it will be in Mr. Kobel's room 132. see you after 6th and 7th hour!''




All IB diploma candidates are welcome  to meet this Thursday, November 1st after 7th hour in the media center. We will be going over the new T shirt design as well as the survey questions. Hope to see you there!


Seniors in an IB HL class- get your IB test registration forms in!  All forms are due by Friday. Extra forms are on the Dow High website, in the Counseling Office or in your IB class.


Scattered throughout our building you will see signs highlighting how Chargers exhibit IB Learner Profile traits. Check them out!  All students in our building are "IB" because Dow High is one of 4,960 International Baccalaureate World Schools.


Go Green!

This Saturday November 3rd at 9am, Go Green is continuing work on the greenhouse! Please come join us and bring a friend!

Attention Ping Pong Players!


Dow's Ping Pong Club is being moved to Thursday during 6th through 7th hours in the loft. We are always looking for new members, so come on up to the loft on Thursday after school for some Ping Pong action! Remember, you can't go wrong when you play PING PONG!




Are you interested in world issues such as poverty, world hunger, education, and inequality? Then join Model United Nations! Our first meeting, after being rescheduled twice, will be Monday, November 5th from 3:30 to 4:30. We only have two conferences and 30 spots this year, so come claim your spot!


Book Drive


The last day for the book drive is tomorrow! Please bring in any children's books to donate! The bin is by the front of the main office. All books due by this Thursday the 1st of November -  that's tomorrow!

It’s Dow/Midland Spirit week part 2.


Tomorrow is Green and Gold Day,  there will be a Charger Rally during 3rd hour for our Cross Country members going to States with weekend.  




Good Luck Girls Volleyball playing in the District Finals today at Bay City Western 6PM.


Buy your football tickets for the Dow / Midland game today and tomorrow.

$6.00 - no passes accepted.  See Mrs. Jines in the office.

Boys basketball tryouts will take place next Monday through Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 each day. You must have your physical completed and your green card from the office in order to participate.


Strength and conditioning workouts will be held this week on Thursday from 6:30-7:30 PM. Meet outside the weight room.

Bowling Tryouts are November 12th,13th &14th from 3:30 - 5 at Northern Lanes.  Cost for tryouts will be $10 per person.




Please attend the mandatory Boys Lacrosse meeting in the Dow High Little Theater from 7-8 on November 1st.
