As of right now the spirit week tallies are as follows:

Staff are at 32 points

Seniors at 103

Juniors at 135

Sophomores at 158

And wow! Freshman at 217


Tomorrow is Thursday (Oct 4) is Decades Day- Freshmen are the 50s, Sophomores are the 70s, Juniors are the 80s, and Seniors are the 60s!

Lastly, Friday (Oct 5) is Charger colors day so come dressed in your green and gold!


Selling Spirit Items at Lunch


Student Leadership will be selling spirit items this week so make sure to check out their table! They will be selling PopSockets, stickers, beads, LED glow wands, and more! Buy your spirit items this week so you're ready for both the Homecoming Game and Dow-Midland!


Do you want to be featured in the yearbook? Did you have a fun summer? Send your summer photos to Delaney Strouse by October fourth for a chance to be in your yearbook!




Meeting next Monday, October 8, before school at 7:15, after 6th hour at 2:30 and after 7th hour at 3:30 in room 353. We will be discussing event choices and how to choose your event.


Culture Club


Attention, Culture Club members.  Please check Google Classroom for an important and urgent announcement.  Thank you!


Club Med


Club Med is meeting today at 3:30 in room 129A (Ms. Kuznicki's room).  Come on down if you are interested in a medical field and would like to learn more.  We will be making locker signs and having snacks. Bring your chromebook if you can.


Game Development Club


Will meet after 6th and 7th hours for the first time today, Wednesday, Oct 3rd. Meet in the CSC computer lab, room 140 at 2:30 or 3:30 if you would like to be apart of this new club at Dow High.


Math Club will meet again this Friday after 7th hour in Mrs. White's room 140. We will begin around 3:30 working on math competition preparation. Come join us if you are interested!




This month's National Honor Society meeting will be Thursday, October 11 for about twenty minutes, which both probationary and inducted members are expected to attend one of. The times are 7:10 in the Little Theater, after sixth hour in the cafeteria, and after seventh hour in the Little Theater. Plan to arrive before 7:10 for the morning meeting.



Please donate used or new soccer gear! There will be a green collection bin for the soccer gear for the next three weeks in front of the office. The gear will be donated to the US Soccer Foundation, Passback program for an Eagle Scout Project. Thank you!



Attention MUN participants and anyone who may be involved! We will be having an informational meeting next Wednesday, Oct 3. If you are interested, please come to this meeting. We only have 25 spots for MSU this year, so come and claim your spot! Meeting is from 4 to 6 in Mrs. Bushey's room, room 138.


Attention, Chargers!


The fall show is upon us! On October 12th and 13th, Dow Drama will present The 12 Dancing Princesses, a classic Grimm fairy tale.

If you would like to attend, please stop by the ticket booth during either lunch or after school to reserve your tickets from now until the date of the show.

If you forget to reserve your tickets, no worries! Tickets will also be available at Central Auditorium on the date of the performance.



Bible study students, please plan to meet after school next week on Thursday due to  the parade this Thursday! Thanks and have fun!


Key Club

Hey Key Clubbers! Remember that our weekly meeting is on Wednesday after 7th hour.  Come to Ms. Haruska´s room to learn about upcoming projects! Snacks will be provided


Varsity Football - Please stop by student services and pick up your goodies.

Varsity volleyball defeated Bay City Central 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-20)

Chinasa Okoro had 8 kills, Charis Queary had 31 assists and Ainsley Lacey had 15 digs.

JV Volleyball defeated Bay City Central last night in straight sets. leaders were Adeza Okoro with 8 kills, 2 aces, and a block.

Mercedes Kreuger with 5 kills and 2 aces. Abbey Rey had 5 kills. Alexa Kolnitys handed out 12 assists.  Anna Schalk was a defensive force with 9 digs and 2 acrobatic saves.


The Freshman Girls volleyball team won last night against Bay City Central.  Leading the way for the Chargers serving 100% as a team were: Emma Murphy, Halle Reid & Summer Luick.  Samone Burroughs had 7 kills while Summer Luick had 8 tips and 5 kills The freshman play at the Grand Blanc on Thursday.

Good Luck JV Tennis against Flushing at home and Freshman football playing away at Bay City Western.
